Rage Of The Firelands And WoW Hunter Gear Patch 4.2

Content updates in World of Warcraft tend to be rough around the edges not always going as planned, but exciting. Rage of the Firelands is no exception with its share of rough spots, miscues, and excitement. Along with the new raid encounter and more dailies with which to grind reputation, there is the PvP Wow hunter gear patch 4.2 to add a bit of spice to the mix.

Each increase in gear and expansion in content is usually also accompanied by a decrease or equalization in certain skills for some classes, and hunters seem to be hit by this often. The newest updates resulted in relatively minor hunter skill changes and nerfs.

Rare tamable pets in the Firelands along with two new daily quests for reputation and gold have given even non-raiders reason to brave the new content. PvP hunters may find that the equipment changes are the most significant changes of all with the start of season 10.

The season 10 gear is a departure from the norm. The name of the top gladiator sets remain the same but the iLevel has been upgraded on all three tiers. Mousing over the gear sets will show whether it is season 9 or season 10 in the tooltip. Season 9 Bloodthirsty pieces were known as Bloodied and were iLevel 338. In season 10, Bloodthirsty equipment is craftable and the iLevel has been increased to 352 but only for items made after the season went live.

A few hunters who purchased their equipment right before the end of season 9 may find they are not as well equipped as they believed they were. Converting excess points for BGs and rated arenas was accomplished early and some players had their excess points converted sooner than was usual, resulting in a few extra gold and sometimes not being able to buy the equipment they planned before the usual cutoff date.

Season 10 will require more effort according to Blizzard in order to amass the required currency for the new equipment. The Bloodthirsty PvP craftable equipment though may help fresh level 85 players with their survivability and remain usable longer. For those hunters who read the loading screen; Rage of the Firelands brings new meaning to the saying "Don't stand in the fire". Whether a player is focused upon PvE or PvP; a fresh level 85 will normally require plenty of preparation to be able to survive the top content or higher rated arenas.

Craftable equipment may tip the balance a little further in favor of the new level 85 hunter. New equipment and increased stats usually means more challenging bosses and encounters for PvE players and harder to kill opponents in PvP. PvP WoW hunter gear patch 4.2 will according to most players, require more than casual arenas or battlegrounds to obtain the highest rated equipment. Even players who do not raid regularly may find the equipment upgrades enough reason to grind reputation and do dailies.
