Rift Walk-Through - How to Gain the Most Enjoyment and Fun From Playing Rift

Gain more enjoyment and fun from playing one of the latest (but already very popular) MMORPG's by following this Rift walk-through.

Here's the scenario... The world is coming to an end, and it desperately needs you!

But who do you want to be? And what do you want to do?

When you start the game, you have to choose between one of two factions that are opposed to each other. You can choose either Guardian or Defiant.

Guardians believe that the Vigil (the gods of Telara) have not abandoned the world, but are working towards an intricate plan for the final battle between good and evil - the 'Day of Judgment'. They believe that they have a destiny to fulfill, as part of a divine plan to save the world.

Defiants do not care whether the gods actually abandoned the world - or not. The Defiants believe that the answer lies in a miracle spawned from technology - and they are ready to achieve their aims at any price.

It is allowable to have characters in both factions on the same server (they are called shards) but you can't move any of your characters from one faction to another.

When you have chosen your faction, race and gender, you can then choose between one of four available classes (callings): Mage, Warrior, Cleric or Rogue. When this is done, and you've formed your character's physical aspects and created a suitable name, you're ready to go.

The first 5 to 7 levels are in a closed area. You're now in a starting place and will have quests which reward you with the choices of your first three souls, plus the possibility of putting points into them. You will also meet your first rift at the end of this initial sector. When this is done, you will then be relegated to the "real world" of Telara.

If you are a Guardian, you will end up in Silverwood; Defiants go to Freemarch. Even on a PvP shard, you will be off PvP and able to level your character without interference from enemy players.

The first levels will give you an introduction to everything you need to know: Profession (you can pick the first gathering professions from teacher straight out of the starting area); porticulums (to move around between the different places); quests; gathering quests; rifts and fighting quests - together with almost every other type of quest you are going to face during the game.

If you follow the questlines, you will be led to your capital city: Meridian for Defiants and Sanctum for Guardians.

In these cities, you will face further quests, and it is a good idea to follow them all. They give you a good introduction to the artifacts; the crafting professions; the daily quests and the World Event Quests etc.

In general, you will not be sent off to PvP places until approximately level 20. In most cases, if you follow the quest given to you, you will be sent from one zone to the other and be able to level.

If you feel you have missed some of the quests, the zones are:

Terminus...................... 1 - 6 Defiant's starting zone.
Mathosia.......................1 - 6 Guardian's starting zone.
Freemarch.................... 6 - 20 Defiants.
Silverwood................... 6 - 20 Guardians.
Gloamwood................. 20 - 27 Gardian Friendly (PvP flagged).
Stonefield.................... 20 - 27 Defiant Friendly (PvP flagged).
Scarlet Gorge............... 26 - 30 Contested (PvP flagged).
Scarwood Reach.......... 30 - 35 Contested (PvP flagged).
Moonshade Highlands.. 35 - 39 Contested (PvP flagged).
Droughtlands............... 35 - 40 Contested (PvP flagged).
Iron Pine Peak............. 41 - 47 Contested (PvP flagged).
Shimmersand.............. 43 - 48 Contested (PvP flagged).
Stillmoor..................... 45 - 50 Contested (PvP flagged).

After this Rift walk-through, you only need to begin the game to start enjoying the fun.

Rift Rogue Builds - How to Choose the Best Rogue Build

In Rift, as in other MMO's, you have different roles that can be played and, if you're playing a rogue, you may want to take a closer look at the Rift Rogue builds.

These are the roles:

Tank: You absorb a great deal of damage and concentrate the mobs or the other players on you.
Support (or off tank): You support or help the tank in holding the mobs.
DPS: DPS means Damage Per Second, and with a DPS role, you're supposed to do a lot of damage.
Healer: You keep the players alive.

Rift has made a system whereby almost every class can fulfill virtually every role.

The rogue can use these nine following souls:

- Assassin
- Riftstalker
- Nightblade
- Bladedancer
- Marksman
- Ranger
- Bard
- Saboteur
- Infiltrator (PvP soul)

If you want a DPS-melee build, because you like to stun or step from nowhere and back-stab your enemy, then go through the Assassin tree. This tree is very good in PvP if combined with Riftstalker to gain better damage mitigation. Eventually, pick Infiltrator (PvP soul) or Saboteur, as your third soul.

Choose the Marksman build if you prefer to go ranged. This class is a heavy damage dealer from a distance, but weaker if you become involved in close combat. For this reason, you will want to take Assassination as a second tree to make up for this weakness. As the third tree, you can use Ranger (thus gaining a pet), or Nightblade in order to have spelled-based attack.

A word about the Ranger build: This is a ranged soul with a pet. The ranger ability is not as good as the Marksman, so you will have to take Marksman as second tree in order to make up for it.

You have your pet that you can use as a tank or a DPS. It's not a big damage dealer in PvP, though.

At a low level, it can be impressive and give you an advantage but, if you are up against an opponent somewhat used to PvP, it won't work very well. But again, everything can be turned around in Rift, so you might discover a mix that will be very viable in PvP too.

The Bard soul is a very weird soul to use at first. In the middle of a fight, to pull out a luth and begin to play music, appears to be a very strange action indeed.

But don't be fooled: This is a very strong build. As a main soul, it will be an excellent support class which can heal and buff the party, and debuff the enemy. The Bard has the great ability to heal himself (and his party) while dealing damage to others.

You can mix this soul with almost any other souls: Ranger (zero points in Ranger, just the tree to obtain the pet) and Marksman to stay ranged, deal good damage and have a pet (very good survivability in PvE and PvP), or use Nightblade and Riftstalker to keep melee.

If you want to build a tank, you should take Riftstalker as your main soul. Even though this tree doesn't have healing, it has wonderful damage mitigation. You can use almost all of your points in this build and add Bard and Bladedancer to make a tank with a little self healing and good avoidance thrown in.

A good world PvP build will use Bladedancer and Nightblade together, resulting in an all-round character, featuring healing, attack power and mitigation.

Now it's up to you to choose one or more of these Rift rogue builds.

Rift Mage Leveling Build

If you want to roll a mage, I can promise you this will provide a great deal of fun, especially if you choose the correct Rift mage leveling build.

The mage of Rift has many possibilities, and you might very well end up switching souls every alternate day in order to evaluate the many different ways to kill (or heal) things.

Since you have nine souls from which to choose (eight PvE souls and one PvP soul) you can find a different mix to PvP, deal damage in dungeons, or to heal or level.

Now, in order to level, you may very well be alone for most of the time, so you will need survivability. You won't have a healer to save you from damage, or a tank to take the damage for you. You'll need a Rift image leveling build which can do this for you. Besides, if you are on a PvP realm, other players might come in along the way, so you will need something solid in this case.

One of the builds that can work very well for you would be Necromancer (34), Warlock (32), Chloromancer (0).

The most important items in this built are Necromancer and Warlock. Chloromancer is only a possibility because, when you have the tree with zero points, you acquire Radiant Spores (surrounds the enemy with phytotropic spores for 16 seconds, giving any allies who damage the affected enemy a 10% chance to heal themselves for 100% of the damage they dealt) which is very good for your health.

You will make your built in three tempi:

- Firstly, you will only build your Necromancer tree. Sometimes you can't add any more points in it "before you level up", so these points will pass to the Warlock tree. You build up your Necromancer tree until you obtain Soul Purge.

- Then you move to your Warlock tree, and do the exactly the opposite: You put all your points into the Warlock tree, unless you are obliged to put them in the Necromancer tree. You do that until you have Neddra's Essence on top of the built.

- Finally, you go back to your Necromancer tree and fill up the remainder.

The easiest way to level up is to use the tank-pet (Skeletal Stalwart) and send it towards the mob, or mobs. He will eventually catch the remaining mobs along the way.

When your pet is almost there, you cast Life Leech and Flesh Rot, and then spam your void bolts. You can use soul purge to simultaneously regain health and heal your pet.

If your pet dies, or if the mobs come too close to you, you can use some Area of Effect.

Use Grave Rot (it does damage and is instant cast) followed by Devouring Shadows (calls upon the shadows to rise up and torture up to 8 enemies in the area of effect for 211 Death damage over 6 seconds. Also generates an 8 Charge every 2 seconds).

If there is still anyone alive around you, finish them off with Mortality, which is a channeling spell that causes damage, but also heals you.

Remember that, even if your pet is currently dead, you can have it up again in within seconds to catch up with the mobs.

Generally, the mobs don't survive for long after Devouring Shadows. If only one is surviving, use Soul Purge to finish him off - and heal yourself at the same time.

You can even easily kill elite mobs at the same level as you if you remember to let your pet attack the mob, and if you also heal him. You don't want the mob to turn against you before it is too late... for him.

These are some of the possibilities, but not the only ones.

Experiment with these and find your own style, together with the best Rift mage leveling build for you.

How Will The Old Republic Make Us Feel About Lightsabers?

As most Star Wars fans, I have always been really fascinated with the lightsaber.

I think I first really fell in love with them when Luke and Vader fought in the Sky City on Bespin.

There is something indefinable cool about a lightsaber that is hard to describe.

The glowing blade that gives it a distinct visual presence and the eerie low level buzz that promises ozone scented mutilation and/or dismemberment.

And of course, the awesome sight and sound of two lightsabers striking each other, sending sparks flying every which way, with a sound that leaves no doubt about the deadly potential of these weapons.

Finally, lightsabers are very rare weapons in Star Wars.

The are carried by elite samurai-like warriors that use them with expert skills that make them much more deadly than a solider with a common blaster.

All this has made lightsabers become possibly the single most recognizable science fiction weapon in movie history.

Endlessly parodied and copied in other movies, games and various other media.

The Old Republic is not the first game to let us play a lightsaber wielding character.

This has been done many times before with various degrees of success in games like the Jedi Knight series and Knights of the Old Republic.

I have had a problem with how lightsabers have been portrayed in almost any game that I have played.

It is a simple problem of game balance versus staying true to the fiction.

In the Star Wars movies a lightsaber can cut through pretty much everything in a single swipe.

It will happily dismember people/aliens/droids or cut through a vent on the underside of an AT-AT.

However, in almost every Star Wars game I've played, you cannot kill your enemies by simply hitting them once with the blade.

This makes sense from a game balancing perspective of course.

It becomes really hard to make a game challenging to the player, if he can just run up and swing once to kill the enemy.

Nevertheless this has always cheapened the feel of lightsabers to me, making them feel less like a weapon of incredible and barely harnessed power, and more like a glowing stick that you thwack your enemies around the head and neck with.

Of course this will be much the same for The Old Republic, judging from everything that I have seen so far.

And I can accept that in the name of balance, even if it makes me a little sad.

What I am more worried about though, and what is unique about The Old Republic, is the sheer proliferation of lightsabers that we are going to be exposed to.

For me, the point about lightsabers, and force users in general, being rare has always made them more interesting and fascinating.

With The Old Republic it's very likely that we'll see at least half the player base using a lightsaber wielding character (unless people somehow skew away from those classes, but I don't see why that would happen. Probably the opposite is more likely).

This means that in any given four player group, you're likely to see two lightsabers at any given time.

Walk out onto the Senate Square on Coruscant and half of those 200 people will be sporting a lightsaber.

In short, you'll be seeing a lot of glowing sticks and I am worried if it will simply ruin some of the "heck yeah, awesome!" feeling from seeing lightsaber combat, once you are seeing so much of it in every play session.

Of course, this is not going to stop me from making my Sith Inquisitor, as I decided on in my class selection process, but will I still have the same love and appreciation for my intricate blade of carnage, when I am hitting max level and I can't swing my lightsaber without hitting... another lightsaber?

I really hope that Bioware has managed to still make lightsabers feel as the most awesome weapon ever.

At least seeing touches such as characters swinging the blade around to deflect blaster bolts and rudimentary lightsaber on lightsaber combat shows that it is something that the are consciously trying to deliver on.

Only time will tell in the end.
A long time ago.
In a galaxy far far away...

Rift Mage Builds

If you're playing a mage, choosing between the different Rift mage builds can seem overwhelming.

This article aims to clarify and inform you about this situation, thus enabling you to make the best choice.

In Rift, there is DPS (Damage Per Second). There are strong damage dealers, and also mages.

Okay, to be honest, mages can also heal reasonably effectively. But most of their souls and possibilities have to do with damage dealing. And they can do just that in an almost infinite number of ways.

You have the following mage souls:

- Archon.
- Dominator.
- Elementalist.
- Necromancer.
- Pyromancer.
- Stormcaller.
- Warlock.
- Chloromancer.
- Archmage (PvP-soul)

If you like to heal, you should choose Chloromancer. Chloromancer has a type of hit'n'heal function, and you can use AoE (Area of Effect) damage to heal the tank at the same time.

Since Archon has a large amount of buff, this would be a good mix.

As your third soul, you can use Warlock, which will add a worthwhile damage bonus to your healing-soul.

Except for Choloromancer (which is a great healing tree) you will now have the choice between several damage souls.

Warlock is one of the best balanced trees. Between DoTs (Damage Over Time), buffs and spell damage, the Warlock is awesome to play, but can't really stand alone. The best trees to pare it with are Chloromancer for healing and Necromancer for DPS.

By doing this, you can have your pet to tank for you, or to do damage. You have possibilities of self healing and feign death.

In PvE, you can very quickly solo different elites and, in PvP, deal heavy damage. The only problem in PvP is that, because of the amount of damage you are able to deal, you will be one of the first opponents the enemy will try to take down. You might very quickly find yourself a "fan club".

Dominator is mostly about crowd control. This soul's tree is filled with rooting, exhausting, damage over time, stunning and polymorphing.

It's a very good soul and mostly used in PvP. If you are going to use it as main soul, with a filled tree, you won't be dealing much damage, so another damage-dealing soul is a must. Pyromancer is a good one, but you can choose almost any damage dealing soul.

As a third soul, you can take Archmage (the PvP soul).

You want Area of Effect damage? Use Stormcaller, which is unbeatable in AoE damage and possibly the best burst damage in the game. It will be good to pair it with Elementalist or Warlock (or both together) to gain better survivability and single targets possibilities.

If you are more pet-oriented, you can use Elementalist, which is a soul with a pet; in fact, with three types of pets: Water (pet that slows the target); Earth (tank pet) and Air (high damage pet, which gives a spell buff). Even if the Elementalist seems filled with possibilities, you will gain the most out of it if used to support another primary soul, such as Pyromancer or Stormcaller.

The other soul with a pet is Necromancer. This is definitely a must for questing. One of the interesting possibilities is Consumption, which takes one buff away from your enemy and gives mana regeneration to you. A must in PvP, Consumption can be a great help in some dungeons (it can be very amusing to see bubbles pop up). You can pair Necromancer with Warlock and Chloromancer.

As you can see, there are many possibilities when dealing damage with a mage, and those mentioned are but a few of them.

I would suggest that, unless you go into a dungeon with a healer and a tank, it is best to find a mix with self-healing and damage for PvE, as well as for PvP.

After that, mix as you want for AoE or single target.

Any choice between these Rift mage builds will offer hours of fun and enjoyment.

Quality Poker Bankroll Management Advice

So what is Bankroll Management (BRM)?

In simple language it is basically keeping to the limits that your bankroll allows you to.

Say for example you had $100 on Poker Stars. Playing a $0.25/$0.50 cash game would not be good bankroll management because you will not win enough to prevent you going bankrupt when the inevitable bad run of cards comes.

Bankroll management is one of, if not the, most important factors of becoming a winning poker player. Many players under estimate the importance and then end up bankrupt. The majority will never understand and will continue to lose their money. But that's OK right? As that is one of the areas where our profit comes from.

How does BRM work?

It is usually recommended that you only stake a maximum of 5% of your entire bankroll in any one game. So if your bankroll was at $100, you should be playing cash games with a maximum buy-in of $5 as that is obviously 5%. If you grew your bankroll to $200 then you could move up to the next limit with a maximum buy-in of $10, as again, that is 5% of your entire bankroll. On the other hand, if you were to lose $50 then you would be exceeding 10% and should, therefore, swallow your pride and drop down a level until you have rebuilt your bankroll.

What limits should we play at?

Cash Games

PL & NL Hold'em If you are playing PL or NL poker, the recommended size of your bankroll is 20 times the maximum buy-in of the limit that you want to play. This means that if you want to have the best chance of making money at a $0.50/$1 cash game which would have a typical buy-in of $100, you should have a bankroll of at least $2000.

(2000/100 = 20)

Another way of applying bankroll management is by only putting a maximum 5% of your entire bankroll on the table at any one time, which works out the same as having 20 times the buy-in for the game.

(100/2000 * 100 = 5%)

Limit Hold'em. If you like to play Limit Holdem however, you should have at least 300 Big Bets as a minimum for the limit you wish to play. Therefore if you were to play $0.50/$1 Limit Holdem, you would need a bankroll of at least $300.

Tournament Games

It is recommended that you have a bankroll that will give you 40 buy-ins to the level of tournaments that you wish to play at. Therefore if you want to play at the $5+$0.50 SnGs you would be looking to have a bankroll of $220.

(220/40 = 5.5)

Combat Rogue Leveling Build for Cataclysm

The Combat Rogue Leveling Build is absolutely the most powerful leveling spec for this class. However, there are few players who really know how to unlock a rogue's potential while leveling. Read on, and you will learn how to build your character for huge pulls, and massive experience gains.

Why choose the Combat Rogue Leveling Build?

To put it bluntly, the Combat spec is the only one that supports the mass pull strategy for burning down huge groups of mobs at one time. Talents like Blade Flurry and Killing Spree allow for some great small group burning, but using Fan of Knives along with Adrenaline Rush is a massive damage strategy for the combat Rogue. In addition, the ability to keep both Slice and Dice, as well as Recuperate up at the same time will keep you chain pulling non stop for massive experience gains. When you get this strategy down, you will practically never have to stop moving. Combine all of these abilities with Evasion, Combat Readiness, and Cloak of Shadow (glyphed) you will be practically untouchable while leveling.

Glyphs for the Combat Rogue Leveling Build

The glyphs you choose are just as important as your basic talent points and combat abilities. They can be the difference between life and death, and can also mean the difference of hours or even days while leveling. Prime glyphs you wan to choose are Slice and Dice, Sinister Strike, and Adrenaline Rush. You will be using these abilities frequently, so make sure you glyph them. Major glyphs you want to use are Blade Flurry, Evasion, and Cloak of Shadows. Glyph of Blade Flurry really unlocks the potential of one of your key abilities. Evasion and Cloak of Shadows greatly enhance your survival abilities, and decreased damage taken means less downtime. Minor glyphs you want to choose are Blurred Speed, Poisons, and Safe Fall. You have pretty slim pickings on the Minor glyphs, but these can make a huge difference in travel time, buffing speed, and survivability.

Gearing up for a Combat Rogue Leveling Build

You're going to be wearing leather armor, and want to stack agility, hit rating, and stamina. You can't equip 2-handed weapons so don't bother with them. You want a slow, hard hitting main hand, with a very fast off-hand weapon. These will maximize your ability to generate energy from the combat potency talent, which in turn increases your overall ability to generate combat points, keep up Slice and Dice, and keep Recuperate up.

World of Warcraft Horde Guide

The Basics

The WoW Horde guide is made for World of Warcraft or better known in the realm as WoW is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, or 'MMORPG' created by Blizzard Entertainment. It is the fourth edition of this type of game. It is a game that is set in the fantasy realm of Warcraft universe. The first Warcraft was introduced in Nineteen ninety four. This World of Warcraft expansion takes place in the world of Azeroth. With over eleven million Hordes, shaman, warlocks and the rest of the creatures that live on Azeroth, World of Warcraft is the world's most-subscribed online role-playing game available today.

One of the factions in WoW is the Hordes. Once you make your decision on which race to play as, you are going to want to use the WoW Horde guide to get through each of the levels as quickly as possible. It's sometimes very easy to get bogged down as you progress through the initial levels. The best way to sped up the process is to grind. Grinding is the nice way of saying slaughtering everybody. The fact is, if you want to get experience points and more importantly, gold for your Horde character, you're going to have to grind. The problem, however for many players, is which mobs to grind and where to find them. That's where the WoW Horde guide comes in. The WoW Horde guide contains leveling strategies, questing patterns, techniques, and many secrets to getting some of the highest scores online. Here is a look at some of the races and their strengths.

The Bloody Elves possess the mystical knowledge and magic. They are known as the black sheep of the High elves. Because they fight with magic, these characters are best played by the players who like to use their wits and brains in winning WoW. One of the most dangerous skills of the Bloody elves is the arcane torrent. Another skill is the Mana Tap which slows down the use of other players magic.

The Unbeatable Orcs race is a favorite because of their brutality. They also possess the adaptability to alter any situation or battle. Among their skills is the Bloody Fury which will increase their attacks and will slow down their enemies. They have a specialization with axes that increases their weapon damage and skills.

The Big Tauren is the best at head-to-head fighting. For those that don't really like pressing lots of magic and skill buttons, the Taurens are the best melee fighters. Their weapons and aggressive skills lend themselves to be very formidable foes in WoW. The big Tauren is probably the easiest and best race to start your WoW career with.

The Scary Undead is just what the name implies, the undead. They are good at casting spells and wreaking havoc and chaos wherever they go. If you like the combination of melee with magic skills, then you definitely want to be this race. They have the most promising skill called the will of forsaken which protects them and brings fear to other players. They also possess underwater breathing.

The Mischievous Trolls are the only available race of the Darkspear. They possess great power and actually most of the players online prefer them because they are big and mean and nasty fighters. They have ability to heal themselves with the regeneration skill.

If you desperately want to level up your character, then check out the WoW Horde guide.

The Tough Process of Selecting Your Class for The Old Republic

Christmas is going to be December 20 this year for me (or whenever the early access for The Old Republic preorders starts).

I am looking immensely forward to this game and, like many other fans I'm sure, have already started thinking long and hard about what class I am going to play, when I finally get my grubby hands on it.

So far I have narrowed the choices down a bit by method of elimination:

Round 1:

I usually play a caster or ranged class.
I prefer to stand back from the fight and let loose with devastating volleys of firepower or aiding my party members with heals or buffs.
Getting up and personal is for the rabble, right?

So I will probably not roll a Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior as my first class.

Round 2:

I tend to play the "evil" side.
There is something very satisfying with the way that you can wield incredible power with no humility or concern for consequences as evil characters (unlimited power, eh Palpie?).
And although I hardly consider myself an emo kid, I do find the dark color schemes of the Sith classes very appealing.

That means that I'll probably go with the Empire faction.

That cuts out the Jedi Sage, Trooper and Smuggler as well.

Round 3:

Generally sneaky classes are not really a thing that I do.
I never played a rogue in WoW, despite playing it for 6 years and playing all other classes to at least level 40-60.
Creeping around in the shadows and stabbing people in the back is not that appealing to me.
When I kill my opponent I prefer to do it from the front, with the blast from my fireball casting a beautiful orange reflection off the eyeballs of my doomed victim.

Therefore I think I will not go with the Agent.

Round 4:

That leaves us with the Bounty Hunter and the Sith Inquisitor.

That is tough.

My gut says the Inquisitor.
The Emperor was one of my favorite characters in the old Star Wars movies, with his manipulating ways and his awesome lightning (not so much with his getting thrown into a thermal shaft by a cripple with one hand).

The Inquisitor also simply looks nice and imposing in his "dark wizard" type getup so it really should be an easy choice.

Buuuut... the Bounty Hunter is simply so frigging cool!
I am not a big fan of the new movies and I'm not even the biggest fan of Jango Fett, but I still think that a few of his scenes really nails the badass attitude of the Bounty Hunter, like his fight with Obi-Wan on Kamino.

I love the jet packs and the flame throwers.
The sense that whatever move you make, the Bounty Hunter will already have you figured out and have a counter measure ready (Just stay away from Sarlacc pits).

Decision time:

In the end I think the power of the Dark Side will probably win out and I will go ahead and make a Sith Inquisitor.

The chance to throw around force lightning in an MMO is simply too good for me to pass up on.

The Inquisitor has it. Now to practice going: "Power!...Unlimited...Power!"

Of course, that does lead to the next grueling question... What race?!... Ugh...

What are your thoughts on class picks for launch?

The How To's of a Rogue in WoW Cataclysm

World of Warcraft offers many profession choices for each class. But what is the best Rogue profession in Cataclysm? Let's see the best options, and how you can benefit from each one of them.

1st Choice Professions: Leatherworking and Skinning
Since Rogues wear leather suits, it is easy to figure out why Leatherworking and Skinning are good professions for them. Leatherworking will help you craft your own armor and armor kits as well. Both of them will be very helpful as you level up in the game and you can even sell your kits on the Auction House to make extra gold. Here are two armor examples to give you an idea: the Icescale Leg Armor can improve your attack power and strike rating, while the Earthen Leg Armor will give you a 40 Resilience rating and a 28 Stamina rating! Try to combine Leatherworking with Skinning. These two professions together will help you level up even faster. Skinning also comes with the Master of Anatomy buff that increases the critical strike by 32!

2nd Choice Professions: Engineering and Mining
If you want to make your leveling an easy and faster process, try to combine Engineering and Mining. A nice buff will come along with Mining in this case. It is called Toughness and it increases the Stamina rating by 50. Now let's see what Engineering has to offer you: Weakness Spectralizers, Healing Injector kits and the wonderful Gnomish Army Knife. With this last one you will be able to return a dead player back to life! A very useful skill that your fellow raiders will surely appreciate!

3rd Choice Professions: Herbalism and Alchemy
Herbalism and Alchemy come as third choices. However, they can be very useful if you choose to do instances or raids, since you will definitely need elixirs and potions to heal you. Herbalism will also give you a valuable buff known as Life Blood. This goody can heal you for 2000 over 5 seconds, even when you are invisible or stealthed. This is extremely helpful, especially if you think that a Rogue can only use bandages to regain health! Blacksmithing suits Rogues on higher levels and only if you choose to become a Weapon Master. So, be careful with this one. Jewelcrafting on the other hand, is another option to consider if you are interested in using gems to boost your gear with nice stats.

So, what will it be? How can you become one of the best Rogues in Cataclysm? The final decision is yours to make. However, I would recommend the first option for an easier leveling. But, as soon as you reach the higher levels, you will realize that the other professions can also provide extra benefits for you and your group.

Guide for the Best Shaman in World of Warcraft and Cataclysm

There is a major benefit in being a Shaman. It is a hybrid class and can work as both a healer and DPSer. No matter which spec you choose, the right profession will help you become what we call "best Shaman" in Cataclysm:

1st Choice Professions: Leatherworking & Skinning
The easier professional choice for a shaman is Leatherworking and Skinning. No matter what spec they are, they will be able to make special gear for themselves. But the best part is this: they can craft leather pieces of gear for Hunters or Rogues and Druids and earn extra gold by selling it. Finally, if a Shaman combines Leatherworking with Skinning, he may become Master of Anatomy and can increase his critical strike rating by 32!

2nd Choice Professions: Jewelcrafting & Mining
If you are a Draenei, then you have a +10 default on Jewelcrafting and this is a great choice when playing a Shaman on the Alliance side. Choosing Jewelcrafting has major benefits, for example stone statues will be able to heal you and you could even place valuable gems, necklaces and rings that you craft, in the sockets of your gear. Think about combining Mining with Jewelcrafting. Why? Because you will get Prospecting, a skill that allows you to extract valuable gems from ores that you gather while Mining. Needless to say how many ways there are to use these gems! There is also an extra plus with Mining, a buff called Toughness that increases your Stamina by 50.

3rd Choice Professions
What about the rest of the professions? What can they offer to a Shaman? First of all, don't forget that Herbalism and Alchemy enable all classes to level faster and also give you a bonus buff, known as Life Blood, capable to heal your character for 2000 over 5 sec. If you can pair Herbalism and Inscription, you will have the ability to make a variety of Glyphs depending on your spec, totems or spells. Shamans often stay behind and get no damage, so armor is not all that important to them. So, wearing the highest gear that you can craft with Leatherworking and enchant with Enchanting is always good but not necessary when raiding with a group.

Knowing the benefits each profession has to offer to your class is extremely useful in order to make the right choice. Risky or not, you can take advantage of these attributes and become best Shaman in Cataclysm.

Understanding the Stick Games Craze - Free Online Gaming

What is it about stick figures that always seem to make us chuckle? Is it the simplicity of the art? Maybe it's the humor that always seems to accompany the malnourished visuals? Regardless of the reason, game creators online are seeing a spike in interest in their free game offerings. Enthusiastic patrons can visit these websites, click on a gaming title that interests them, and start playing immediately. Most of the technology necessary to run these games is hosted by the sites themselves, so it literally is a "plug and play" scenario...well, minus the plug, of course. But, once you get plugged into this gaming industry, you will quickly see why so many gamers are enjoying the free online platforms in greater numbers.

Where Do All of These Games Come From?

The online gaming community is basically comprised of thousands of programmers, designers, and developers that are looking to get exposure and help to push the gaming industry forward. Additionally, many of the games you find are created by amateur game designers that came up with an incredible idea and wanted to begin expanding on it. How can you do your part to push the industry? The answer is simple - play! The creators often have feedback areas on their websites, so you can let them know what you think about the experience and even suggest improvements that can be made. The interaction between developers and gamers will help to shape future releases.

What You Will Find...

Searching for online games is self-explanatory when using your web browser, but what can you expect when you start seeing all of the options? Stick games are popular, as they depict stick figures acting out all of your favorite titles. From classic word games to seek and adventure titles, there is something for just about every taste out there. Educational games also exist, so there is something for children as well. All you need to do is find the host websites and begin playing. The fun is never-ending, as these games are usually created faster than you can play them. The end result is increased variety, which is never a bad thing.

File Safety

Another alluring aspect of stick games and the like involves safety for your computer from viruses or other harmful programs. Any reputable website will maintain a high level of security, so you know that they are protecting you, and themselves, from outside violations. Further, there are seldom any download requirements to play, and playing online will rarely involve an exchange of files between their server and your computer. This helps to ensure that your hard drive is safe, though you should always maintain your own level of virus protection. Most of the website you find in this niche are very safe, so play at will!

Online games are a great way to entertain yourself or your children while on the computer. They require little to no downloadable tools and can offer incredible variety. Many a workday has been passed through these games, and because they are independent designers, you will find new takes on old games that haven't been seen in years. Stick games have made their way to the forefront of the genre, and watching the stick figures act out your every command can be a great time. Created for fun and refusing to charge for their services, online game designers are giving everyone something to smile about in an age when technology can be incredible expensive. Stick games are increasing in popularity, and as they do, more titles will emerge. By supporting independent game makers, you are doing your part to keep the free gaming ball rolling.

This profession is one of the most rewarding, as well as hardest level up. Below I will go over a brief overview of the blacksmith in the World of Warcraft, as well as some tips and benefits.

In fantasy RPG games, and World of Warcraft is specially, having the best armor and weapons is vital. These can be easily obtained on your own by simply mining for them. You also find veins of copper and silver that can be used to level up your blacksmithing skill. An alternative would be to buy these materials on the market, but if you are just starting out and are short on gold, then mining them is a great way to get a head start.

3. Once you reach level 75. After you have obtained a blacksmithing level of 75, you can visit a trainer, and have your apprentice blacksmithing status upgraded to that of journeyman. At this level you will be able to create much more danced armor and weaponry, that will be very in demand at the higher levels. This is where the money can really start to come in. After you reach level 90, you will need to mine silver and tin to level up.

Rift Leveling Guide - How to Move Your Character From Level 1 to Level 50 Quickly

Use this Rift leveling guide to start off running, and fully enjoy your game play in Rift.

The point in Rift, as in any other MMO, is that you start a character at level 1, and subsequently level it up to the maximum. In Rift, the highest level possible is 50.

You can see your level beside the picture of your character. There is an experience bar over your toolbars on the User Interface. It shows your progress towards the next level and, when this experience bar is filled, you gain one level and then begin to fill the next bar.

There are different ways to quickly level up in Rift:

* Quests

Throughout the game, you will meet quest givers. You can recognize them because there is a big exclamation mark (!) over their head. They will give you quests to do.

A quest can be to talk to someone; to gather different things; to kill monsters; to acquire a unique loot from special monsters - and many other varying tasks.

The quests can be handed back to the original quest giver, or to another quest giver somewhere else (generally this is to guide you into another zone of the game). When you hand in the loot, you receive a reward. Your prize will be money and experience points (XP), and sometimes even a piece of equipment.

* Kill, kill, kill!

Endeavor to kill as many mobs as possible on your way to and from your quests.

Mobs drop money and sometimes even awesome pieces of equipment. Even other items such as clothes (or skin if you have butchery and kill a skinable animal) can later be sold to the Auctioneer.

* Potions and Rest

When you go into an inn situated in the main or smaller cities, you can see you that are "resting".

Check the top right corner of your screen, where you should be able to see a little black and green icon indicating this.

When you are sufficiently rested, you will notice that your XP-bar has changed color and there is a little vertical bar on it (unless you have rested for a long period of time, in which case it might be on the "next" XP-bar).

Each time you kill a mob, he will count for 200% XP and you will move towards this little vertical bar. When you hand in a quest, you "only" get 100% XP, and this will be similarly indicated.

Therefore, it's a good idea that, before you finally log off, to initially log off in an inn or city where you can rest. This is especially important if you want to take a break with a particular character.

When you buy Rift for 1, 3, 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, you accrue "veteran rewards".

These include XP-potions, which last 2 hours (even through death) and give you 100% extra of every kill you make. If you only have a few, keep them for the last levels, which can sometimes seem to go on forever

* Rifts

All through the game, you will meet Rifts. These will give you attractive rewards, called planataries, enabling you to buy better gear and obtain XPs. Take as many as you can while questing.

* Dungeons

Commencing from level 15, you can click on the Looking for Group icon (bottom left part of your screen) and join a random dungeon. This will be a cross-server, so you can be with people from other shards. Dungeons give interesting rewards, such as gold and XP. Take at least a couple each day so you can acquire these valuable items and XPs.

* Warfronts

Warfronts are PvP (Player versus Player) battlegrounds where a team of Defiants and a team of Guardians are opposed to each other.

You can take your first warfront, The Black Garden, at level 10 (but you generally don't survive very long as the actual bracket is 10 - 19).

In each main city, Sanctum and Meridian, there are quest givers that will offer you special warfront quests. You can recognize them because of the color of the quest icon over their head. The exclamation mark (!) is of a different color than the standard one: The icon is blue for Guardians and red for Defiants.

Most of the warfront quests are daily, repeatable quests, so you can begin your day by picking them up. They give desirable rewards; they give you favor, which are special points you can use to buy PvP gear with and then, of course, XPs.

So, unless you are with a faction, or on a shard that always loses (which obviously then is a waste of time continuing), then doing the daily warfronts is a very good move for your XPs.

Rift Cleric Guide - A Guide to the Most Versatile Class in Rift

This short Rift Cleric Guide aims to give you an introduction to what is, probably, the most versatile class in Rift.

The Cleric is, first of all, a healer class - and the best healer in the game. The Cleric has not less than three different cleric souls from which to choose, and they all differ depending whether you want to be raid healer or tank healer. If you want to roll a healer, Cleric should be your first choice.

But it doesn't stop there.

Clerics are very, very good at DPS (Damage Per Second). They have both ranged and melee damage and even a soul with a pet (a very ugly, but very useful fairy) if needed. They can heal as they hit.

As well as this, Clerics make reasonable tanks. The Justicar soul is a tanking soul.

To be honest, Mages generally have better DPS than Clerics, whilst Warriors make better tanks. And these two factors may be the only weakness of the Cleric... If you can call that a weakness.

When you're going to build your Cleric, you'll have the choice between different statistics:

Wisdom: This is to regenerate your mana. If your preference is a healer, by all means make this your choice, and obtain as much as you can. If you decide on DPS or tank, wisdom isn't important to you. You will prefer other statistics.

Intelligence: You are going to need a large amount. There are two main reasons for this: Firstly, intelligence increases your mana and you will have need for a large amount as it is the "fuel" of your spells.

Secondly, it will increase in proportion as to how much you heal or damage at a particular time. Even the melee DPS build has a talent to convert Spell Power to Attack Power, so you'll definitely need it in this instance. The only reason you wouldn't choose Intelligence is if you select tank.

Endurance: Endurance increases your maximum health. Tanking Clerics will need this. After 12 points spent in the Justicar soul, you will have an ability (Mien of Leadership) that will increase your Endurance by 90%, so you will very quickly obtain benefit from stacking endurance.

Spell Power: Unless you are a tank, you should have as much of this as you can. It increases your damage or healing capabilities.

Critical Hit: A Cleric already has a high crit in their talents, so you can take it if offered by the gear, but this is not a must.

Hit Rating: This means, in short, how often you hit and miss. You want a high Hit Rating because there is no point in hitting as hard as hell if you miss.

Depending on how you plan to play, you will mix the souls accordingly. You can easily mix only healing souls if you want to heal in dungeons or raid. You won't need much DPS or resilience, since the group will be here to do that.

Or, you can mix dps, tank and heal to quest, so you have resistance to hits, with possibilities to hit your way through the mobs, together with a small amount of healing (this will be just for you, so no need to overdo it).

If you want to PvP, you will also have to find your place first: Do you want to be in the attacking or in the healing part? Choose between a mix of defense with heal, or dps with heal.

Furthermore, you can mix these different souls:

Warden: A Healer soul which focuses on healing over time spells, including Area of Effect (AoE) spells that also heal over time. Also has many good dispel abilities, but few full instant cast heals and no real "big heal".

Sentinel: A Healer soul too, similar to Warden, but has more AoE heals.

Purifier: A Single target heal. This would be the tank heal soul. It heals at a fantastic rate, has big heals and also shielding abilities. As you would expect, it lacks in the AoE and Healing over Time.

Justicar: This is the tanking soul. It is weaker than the rogue's or warrior's soul but can still form a decent tank. The big advantage is that it has a battle resurrection, which is a worthwhile bonus.

Inquisitor: This is the 1v1 soul. It is very hard to defend against, has a lot of instant Damage over Time abilities, debuffs of your enemy and crowd control. No need to add that this soul excels at PvP.

Cabalist: This is a DPS caster soul. Not very good for survivability. Would be more suitable if you want to do heavy damage in raid or dungeon.

Shaman: At the opposite end of most other Shamans I have played in similar MMO's, the Shaman in Rift doesn't really have any healing of note. On the other hand, it's a very tough melee DPS, and is capable of many very fast and deadly attacks and a multitude of buffs.

Druid: This is also a melee DPS. It has the pet that can be used to heal you, or to do damage when required. The pet isn't very resilient and quickly goes down.

Templar: This is the PvP soul. It operates in different ways: better heal; higher DPS and better resilience.

Everything depends on your other souls and what you prefer. Do you want to keep on stacking resilience to a tank/melee PvP soul? Or do you want to add healing to the same soul? Perhaps you want to stack resilience to your PvP healer?

There is no "best mix" or "best healer specs".

Everything depends on you.

What is your style? Where do your strengths and weaknesses lie? Do you tend to stay too long in a fight (then place points in tanking and self-healing)? Do you prefer to be at a distance?

Find your style and grow with your Cleric. Change the soul trees until you find the mix that will suit you best. You are the one in control of your character.

As you can see, if you choose a good mix (which is extremely easy to do with Cleric) then you can quickly have a very viable, strong and fun character with which to play.

Hopefully, this Rift Cleric guide will help you get started on the right footing.

Rift Level Guide - Stop Wasting Money on Buying the Wrong Rift Level Guide

In Rift, as in most other games of this type (MMO), you will need to level, so a Rift level guide will be of assistance as you go through this process.

Your character starts naked (almost) at level 1, and the aim is to get it to the highest possible level. In Rift, at the moment, this level is 50.

You might want (or need) a guide to level up to 50 as easily, quickly and efficiently as possible.

You will find there are many different guides available. Some are free; others will cost you money. So, what should you expect of the latter? And to what should you pay attention when making a choice?

Most of the guides available will offer you more than just a leveling guide. They'll give you different bonuses: A platinum guide (the currency in Rift is platinum); a builds guide; some pvp guides; dungeon guides or warfront guides etc.

Check out how many bonuses you obtain for your money, and how valuable they seem to be to you. Don't hesitate to take your time and compare them all.

Another important thing: MMO's are constantly patched, and Rift follows this rule. Patches are applied for several reasons. They can be used to correct bugs, or to start or finish particular updates (add new temporary content or withdraw it when the time has passed). They can also be used to add new dungeons or zones, or to change something regarding the classes.

In Player vs. Player, in particular, the classes (or callings) need readjustment. Possibilities range from being removed, changed or made stronger. Statistics about attack power, spell power, endurance or any other statistic are continually changing, so there is as much balance as possible between the classes.

This is why, when your Rift level guide offers you builds for rogues, mages, clerics or warriors, you have to initially see when it was originally sent. Was it prior or posterior to a patch - and which patch? There is absolutely no reason to follow a build for patch 1.2, when the latest patch is 1.5. Too many things might have changed in the meantime.

So you will need to keep an eye on Rift's homepage to see the latest patch number before you follow a build, or whatever guide to which you're referring. Even a platinum guide doesn't have the same value after a patch update. There may have been changes in certain drops, or other possibilities that might radically change part of the economy.

For the same reason, check if the guide offers you free updates, and for how long they will continue. Is the offer for lifetime updates, or only until a new version of the game comes on the market?

Most of the guides offer you a money-back guarantee. The big advantage of this is that, if you purchase a product that isn't satisfactory, you can always ask for a refund.

Make sure that the Rift level guide you are looking at buying offers you a money-back guarantee, in case you receive outdated or incorrect information.

Mage PvP Guide - Have Fun by Using a Mage PvP Build

If you want to have fun with your mage, this mage PvP guide will help by starting you off in the right direction.

The PvP mage is played on two levels: Control and damage.

The good news is that they are both good in these regards, and can kill a player in no time at all.

The bad news is that their adversaries have discovered this, and therefore you will become the center of attention very quickly. So watch out for the rogue, who is your natural enemy.

A very easy build to play is a mix of Necromancer and Warlock. As your third soul, you can use Chloromancer (with zero points) or the PvP soul, Archmage. Put 34 points in Necromancer and 32 in Warlock.

The advantage of this build is that it is very resilient, hits hard and can be used in Warfronts, 1v1 PvP or questing - all with the same excellent results.

You have a pet who can deal damage; you have a debuff to remove bubbles or other buffs, together with a great deal of self-healing that can also cause damage your enemy. I would suggest this is a fairly easy build with which to start.

One of the most - if not THE most - PvP oriented soul (except Archmage, which is a PvP soul) is the Dominator. It's definitely worth having and the gain is at least a few points for PvP. You can also use it as a main soul.

If you are a control freak, you will walk the path of the Dominator. This build is very interesting, great fun to play, but also possesses a large degree of difficulty. Nevertheless, if you learn it correctly, you will indeed dominate the situation.

Dominators can silence; root; disorient; exhaust and transmogrify their enemy whilst dealing damage.

Place 31 points in Dominator and choose a damaging soul like Pyromancer to join with it. This hits extremely hard and deals a great deal of damage. Put 20 points into Pyromancer, and then take Archmage (PvP soul) and put 15 points in it. You cannot, however, do this before level 50. In the meantime, after gaining enough favor to level up, put the extra points into Pyromancer (for more damage).

With this spec, in 1v1, almost no one will be able to reach or hurt you to any degree, before turning themselves to ashes. This will mean control (eventually transmogrify - the time to heal - if you have been taken by surprise); root; move away and then burn them.

In a warfront, and against more than a single enemy, you will prefer to be amongst friends. In this case, your PvP mage will fulfill a support role instead.

Another possibility is to mix the Dominator with the Stormcaller instead of Pyromancer. The Stormcaller will especially shine in warfronts, because it is definitely the multi-targeting-master.

Nothing beats the Stormcaller when we are talking about Area of Effect (AoE). From a distance, you can protect a flag by using your AoE to interrupt the enemy when they are attempting this, whilst supporting several of your friends at the one time.

Since the Stormcaller also has great single target damage, you can use it in 1v1 as well. There is still some controversy about whether Pyromancer or Stormcaller is the better, has the greater burst etc. Don't buy into these discussions: Try them both and see which one you prefer.

Mages are ranged damage dealers. You can enhance your survivability with some souls more than with others, but you are not built to melee fight. You are built to hold your distance.

How you do this mostly depends on your style and what tactics you prefer. Whether to slow down the enemy and gain help from your pet, or to control the other and burst with Stormcaller or Pyromancer, is a question only you can answer.

Try them both and, if necessary, make changes so they are more adapted to your particular style.

There is no "best PvP mage build". It all comes down to how you prefer to play.

Use this short Mage PvP Guide as inspiration.

Rift Crafting - How to Choose the Best Trade Skills in Rift

Rift crafting will help you improve your game-play in Rift in more ways than one.

Each of your characters can learn three different professions. They are not dependent on each other, nor on class or race. They don't offer you any special abilities.

There are three gathering professions and six crafting professions. Some of these trade skills support each other.

If, for example, you select armorsmithing, you will need mining to obtain metal in order to create chain and plate armor.

Butchery is a good idea, too, because some hides are needed to make chain armor. Foraging can be a good idea as well (wood is needed to make some shields).

Of course, you can naturally hold it to one gathering profession i.e. mining, and buy the remainder from the auctioneer or have another character gathering for you.

The professions available in Rift are:

Gathering Professions:
* Butchery obtains hides, bones and teeth from animal corpses.
* Foraging collects plants and wood logs.
* Mining extracts ore from nodes.

Crafting Professions:
* Apothecary creates Flasks, Potions, Philtres, Tonics and Vials.
* Armorsmithing creates chain, plate armor and shields.
* Artificing creates jewelry and caster weaponry.
* Outfitting creates cloth, leather items and bags.
* Runecrafting creates runes, used to augment weapons and gear.
* Weaponsmithing creates all types of weapons.

You learn your specific profession from a trainer. If you have a gathering profession, you level it up by gathering and transforming products (by gathering ores and smelting them, or by gathering wood and manufacturing planks from them).

If you have a crafting profession, you level it up by crafting items.

Most crafting professions level up 10 points at a time. For example, if you make 10 daggers, this will take you to level 10 in weaponsmithing. Then you go to your teacher and learn the next recipe. Then you make 10 more swords, and this will bring you up to level 20.

The crafting professions give you the possibility to salvage items. If you have Armorsmithing, you can salvage armors; if you are weaponsmithing, you can salvage weapons. If you are runecrafter, you can runebreak almost anything.

When salvaging, you can break down an item and obtain materials from it. Sometimes it will be "salvaged leather" or other things used to make augments for your weapons or armor. At other times you will obtain planks, leather or bars which can be used to make a new item. This saves you both money and gathering time.

It is best is to have a profession that enables you to make things which your character may need, but this is not a must.

And you can very easily select one of the many Rift crafting professions available that you feel you'll enjoy the most.

Age of Conan: How Good Is The "Unchained Version?"

Age of Conan came a long way since its release in May 20, 2008, a flagship project by a Norwegian game developer, Funcom. It became an online game that aims to focus more on the mature group of online gamers. It features the savage world of Hyboria, where you can choose to build your character from four distinct races ( Aquilonian, Cimmerian, Stygian and Khitan), and four main classes with twelve branching sub-classes. The combat system in Age of Conan is also different from other online games, as it uses an engine called "Real Combat," this system has no auto attack instead it lets you choose a direction for your attack.

After a few months of its release, Age of Conan had experienced different difficulties in its overall status, due to its predictable quest design and missing features that gathered several complaints from the gaming community. The "Devs" made a couple of updates to address these concerns, but still there are some issues that are left unresolved. This made a lot of gamers unhappy and most of them cut their subscription, after only a few months of playing. Funcom, otherwise made it clear that "this game is not for everybody." But the sudden drop of followers really affected the overall performance of the game.

For over three years, Age of Conan followed the standard business model of most online role-playing game companies, and that would be "Pay-to-Play."Considering this would be more profitable back then, but the sudden saturation of the MMORPG genre had led to many alternative ways to earn some profit. That's the reason why so many online game companies go for a new business model, they call "Free-to-Play."This type of business strategy offers the game to everyone for free, which means you can play it anytime you want without the need to pay for any monthly fees. The only things you need to buy are the premium items, which can help your character progress in the game.

As of July this year, Age of Conan offered its fee-to-play version which is called "Unchained."This version boasts several new updates and contents that did not materialized before in 2008. Ultimately, it will bring fresh features for its loyal player base and hopefully attract more potential gamers into its fold. When I visited the world of Hyboria for the second time, I noticed the big improvement they did and some of it made the game more playable now. Though being a free account inhibit some limitations, consider it as just a preview of what you can expect if you really upgrade your account into a premium one.

There are however some issues still present on this game, one old issue I experienced are the lag spikes. Which can be attributed to the amount of information this game, must send to and from the server. As my character reached the levels that is worthy of PVP, I tried to battle on some of the known arenas, and I noticed a lot of balance issues with the different classes, a factor that can break the enthusiasm of some players.

As a final conclusion, I still consider Age of Conan: Unchained - a game that is worthy of our time. It is true to the lore of Conan the barbarian and would even make Robert E. Howard proud of how this game was transformed into a sexy and savage rendition of his novel. Though, you really need to shell out some bucks to enjoy its full potential.

Feral Druid Leveling Build for Cataclysm

The Druid is one of the most versatile and complex classes in World of Warcraft, but with so many different options to choose from, your best bet to get to 85 is a Feral Druid Leveling Build. However, as complex as a Druid is, many players make some detrimental mistakes that can significantly set back their leveling speed. Read on, and I'll share with you a few secrets on the perfect WoW Druid Leveling Build for Cataclysm.

Why Choose a Feral Druid Leveling Build?

First off, it's the highest DPS with the fastest regenerating resource. Energy fills up much more quickly than mana. As a Balance Druid, you will constantly be running out of mana, and stopping to drink. In addition, you will be using that same mana to heal yourself in between fights. However, as Feral, you have talents like Predatory Instincts and Nurturing Instinct which enhance your heals, and make them instant with no cost. This boosts your survivability and leveling efficiency way above any spec besides a Feral Druid Leveling Build.

Strategy for a Feral Druid Leveling Build

You have two options. You can either tank dungeons for 85 levels, you can solo quest, or you can do a combination of the two. Dual spec is great for this. If you don't mind tanking, a bear spec will give you almost instant queue times for dungeons. While questing, a Feral Cat Leveling Spec is absolutely the fastest way to go. For the earlier levels you will be finishing with Ferocious Bite, until you get Rip at level 54, you can start chain pulling as soon as you get that heavy DoT up. You will want to initiate combat with a Feral Charge, Pounce, Mangle, Rake, (One more mangle if you need the combo point) and Rip. Don't finish that mob, Rip will do it for you. Pop an instant heal if you need it, and move on to the next one immediately, and pull with a Feral Faerie Fire. Mangle and Rake to five combo points and finish. With this Feral Druid Leveling Build, you can repeat this process of chain pulling with no end, except when you run out of mobs to kill. Use this strategy while questing, and the experience gains will be ridiculous.

Gearing up for a Feral Druid Leveling Build

As a Feral Druid, you gain attack power in your Cat and Bear forms from Weapon DPS, and agility on all of your equipment. Agility also gives you extra chance to crit and dodge, making it our most powerful damage stat. With Nurturing Instinct, you also gain extra healing power from agility. This is a great survival talent and should not be skipped. Stamina is also important for your survival while questing. Obviously, the more hits you can take, the less time you spend running away from mobs, or back to your corpse. With a Feral Druid Leveling Build, you should only be wearing leather, as it is the highest level armor you can wear. You also get a bonus to agility after level 50 for wearing all leather. Also, cloth has none of your DPS stats on it, so stick to leather. For secondary stats, Haste and Crit are your best friends. Haste regenerates your energy, and Crit gives you extra combo points. I wouldn't worry about stacking Hit until endgame. Focus on the burst damage.

Why Would You Use an Ultimate WoW Leveling Guide?

World of Warcraft is the most successful MMORPG of ALL time with (as of June 2011) 11.1 million subscribers.

To paraphrase a classic line - anyone who tells you that they weren't a little bit overawed the first time they stepped into the WoW is either lying or mad - it's not called WoW for nothing.
However, once those first fledgling steps are taken, most players settle down and find their own way to make-it in the game. There is a huge variety of races and character classes to play and the chances are that somewhere there's a combination that will fit you like a glove. Do you like to express yourself with a sword? or perhaps blasting monsters with magic is your thing? You may be one of those rare types that prefers to give, rather than to receive - perhaps becoming a healer is your calling?

Regardless of your choices within the game - one fact remains. It's huge. Let me say that again, its HUUUGE. This isn't some kind of 200 room dungeon with a few monsters that re-materialize every 5 minutes. There is just so much room to breathe it's unbelievable. The place is so stuffed with monsters, secrets and quests that you could spend a lifetime wandering from place to place trying to figure it all out.

Now, some people are quite happy to mooch around, picking up the game and the quests as they go - and I say: good luck to them. If you can treat your game-time like disposable income - I envy you. I just don't have that much available to me - every minute is precious. It's not a problem if you're 18, no kids, no responsibilities - you can afford to spend days at a time figuring it all out and making those wrong turns that waste hours. But don't for a minute think that 18 year olds with nothing to do with their lives form the majority of the WoW player demo-graphic. Data on the game's player demographic isn't perfect - but Nick Yee's Project Daedalus gathered data that showed only about 25% of MMORPG players are teenagers, and the average age? 26. On average - a player will spend 22 hours a week playing the game. Now - as I said - these stats aren't perfect - but I can sure as hell tell you that I don't get 3 hours a day to play games!

It's the time issue that makes me want a more guided experience within the game - I want to explore and find new things - but I want to do it on my terms. I don't want to waste time if I don't understand something. I'm fully aware that I'm not "Albert Einstein" quality when I comes to thinkin'. There are some bits to the game I just don't get. Part of it is my own intelligence - but I think that more of it is that sometimes - the game's designers and I just don't "click"; that is, we're not on the same wavelength. It's at these points in the game that I turn to, what is perhaps, my best investment to-date - other than buying my WoW time that is!

I use Dugi's Ultimate WoW leveling guide. This is an in-game guide. That is, it shows itself within the game client. There's no reading of a manual, no flicking between windows on the computer. The guide is always there if you need it.

It really is the perfect WoW companion. It can help you level your character (any race, any class) from 1 all the way to 85. You can level as fast (about 5 days of solid play) or as slow as you like (i'm still 55 after months - but i get to play so little) it's totally your choice. The guide will show you where to go, what to do and will even display little pictures of the people / items you need to interact with at the time.

It can keep you positioned within multiple quests - even if you're undertaking them simultaneously and it knows the best paths to take through the quests so that they naturally flow, one into the other. This makes playing the game a much more immersive experience. It's no exaggeration to say that I've come out of a session after several hours (generally it's 3 or 4 in the morning and I'm destined for a bad, bad day at work) without realising how long I've played.

There are actually a number of guides that Dugi's site offers - leveling, dungeon mastery and professions advice. I've only got the leveling currently - but will consider the others when I start a new character. Next time i'll do it all the right way and save myself a bunch of time.

There is so much that is good about Dugi's guide that I can't fit it all into this article. For a more complete review - go to my site, linked in the bio box at the bottom of this article, and check out a more complete review.

Star Wars the Old Republic Vanguard - The Reckless Warrior

Featured as a playable advanced class in the soon to be big hit Star Wars The Old Republic, from the Star Wars franchise, comes this specialized class called Vanguard - a specialized class/ advanced class from the SWTOR Trooper. Choosing to play a Trooper from the beginning is a choice not for the weak as after you reach level 10, you will walk down where a decision whether you will play the SWTOR Commando or the SWTOR Vanguard. This article will enlighten you down the path of the Vanguard.

The Vanguard itself is a character of sheer power. A character worth fearing after peaking into its inventory which is filled with weapons of seriously massive destruction. A whole array of fire power and defensive mechanisms added to its armory. An extremely dangerous class if faced head on. Its weapon of choice are more full of damage and power - weapons such as the flamethrower, large based blaster rifles and power energy shields as an uncrackable defense. Within the game, you will be able to upgrade all these equipment advancements.

With this large damage dealing weapons and thick-played armor comes his weakness. The SWTOR Vanguard move extremely slow. If you ever find yourself in a sticky situation, your best bet would not be to run but turn on your guns at the enemy and blast them with every possible damage dealing weapon you have. As your weapons can take out massive amounts of troops, the downside is also your lack of close combat. Because your choice of weapons are heavy machinery, the light weighted Jedi's with extremely dangerous light-sabers are hard to defend against. Their sheer jumping and float-like agility allow them to come into a melee range very quickly. Even though your armor is one of the strongest in the game, your best chance would be to take out enemies from a distance as fast as possible.

The Star Wars the Old Republic Vanguard is the best line of defense for the Republic and very reliable in its duties and responsibilities. To summarize, this advanced class is not full of surprises like other classes but a solid character you can always rely on. With their primary focus on blaster rifles, energy shields and defense, tanking and close range damage per second (DPS). Vanguards skill trees include Tactics, Shield Specialist and the shared skill tree with Commando, the Assault Specialist. In the end, it all comes down to the players choice in what style of play they want, but know that the SWTOR Vanguard will always have a place in the battlefield and of the utmost importance to a solid victory.

These are some of the advantages of playing online games.

Choosing the Right Game for Your Girl

Most of us tend to associate games with boys and men. Although there are many games for girls, there is always a tendency for these to not attract as much attention as those for boys. This could be as a result of the fact that girls' play is often soft, with limited motion and may not be as obvious and loud as boys. This same thing is seen with sports. Sports that are played by men and by extension boys, tend to attract much more viewership that those played by women. Although many will jump to blame male stereotypes for this, this may not necessarily be the case.

The reason for this difference in appreciation of games for the two sexes originates from a failure to appreciate certain things about games for girls and women. While most parents will readily realize that their son needs a ball, car, bus, and other boyish toys to play with, for girls this can be limited to buying simple dolls. Most computer games are designed to suit the needs of boys than girls. They are either about racing or other manly sports. These things are great for boys but do not in any way meet the needs of girls.

Typically, girls will play games that revolve around things that happen in the home or fashion. Some girls will also enjoy games that involve dancing as well as some adventure. Games that focus on the home include games on cookery, setting up tables, housekeeping and so on. As you can see, these games go beyond just a single doll. Girls will appreciate a kitchen set, or items that allow them to arrange a house and decorate it as they enjoy using their hands.

A girl will enjoy a cooking game which explains why they tend to try to imitate their mums in the kitchen and keep trying to cook something. On the contrary, most (though not all) boys will only enter the kitchen because they are hungry. For them the idea of a game will be different. If you want to enhance games for girls, meet their needs on their terms. You can find many good games for them online that will include cooking, dress-making, decorating, fashion, dancing and so on. These games also are played in a manner that meets another need of the girls-that of interaction and intimacy. Girls want closeness and one-on-one talk as they play. Next time they play, watch them as see how this comes out.

While boys' play often has intense competition, girls value relationships and enjoy games in which they cooperate rather than compete. The cooperating is still in line with the intimacy and relationship need mentioned earlier. Games for girls when well understood can just be as engaging as those of boys. So, get to understand your daughter very well so that you may select a game that they will appreciate. Remember also the differences even among children of the same sex. So, just because a game was good for one girl does not mean the other will like it.

What Are Children Doing Online Today?

Many parents are allowing their children to spend at least a little time online, with some allowing them to spend hours a day online. Then there are other parents who do not see the Internet as a safe environment for children, so they do not allow their Children any access to the online world. Parents with an eye for raising children who can function in the future modern world while still protecting their innocence tend to fall somewhere toward the middle of this spectrum. They allow their children supervised, controlled access to the Internet for activities, such as games, that are designed just for children.

Online Gaming for Children

Just as children have always learned from interactive television shows such as Sesame Street, children are now learning through games on the Internet. These games are featured on safe gaming sites where parents can easily set them up with the most appropriate games and then monitor their play time. Some games are featured on websites devoted exclusively to children while others are on gaming sites that host a variety of games for all ages and skill levels.

Parents do have to put some effort into finding the most educational and fun games that are geared for the age of their child, but with many websites now offering children's games this is not a problem in most cases.

One example of a great game that teaches children in a fun manner is Wordtrotter. This is actually a game that many adults find themselves addicted to, but older children learning to put together words will get a lot of learning value out of it as well as immense enjoyment. Colorful bug creatures are the heroes of the game and the objective is to go through worlds chasing down bugs marked with letters, called alphabet bugs. These bugs are used to spell a word which will save the bug world.

The lesson here is obviously in spelling, but there are games such as Math Man as well. This game is a spinoff of the classical Pac Man and is designed to help children learn to think through math problems quickly.

These games are entirely safe and there are options available for children of all ages. There are even some games that parents enjoy playing along with their children. It doesn't all have to be about learning, either. Many parents simply enjoy playing online games with their children when getting outdoors for a bit of fun is not possible.

Research and Schoolwork

Another valid reason that many parents now allow their children online is to keep up with schoolwork or to do more extensive research into different lessons they are learning in school. Children must learn to do research online, since they will likely need these skills to get any type of employment in the future. Many schools are now encouraging children to do some of their research for reports online, and that includes elementary aged children.

Computer skills are going to be needed for everyone in the next generation. We depend on computers to a huge extent in the world today and that trend is only going to continue. It is good parenting for children to be allowed some access to this technology so they are prepared for the future. This is why so many parents are now allowing children to get online in a controlled, supervised environment.

Empire Rising: Learn Tips On How To Obtain Resources

First, this mini-guide focuses on how to obtain resources in Empire Rising and to preserve humanity and military forces and to operate and manage all resources and subjects. Remember that it requires patience as grinding part requires more resources and time. Hopefully this will help you because I am a newbie in the game browser.

Early in the game, you will have quests that will provide the basis for establishing and maintaining your own empire. I started the construction of cottages, quarries, mining, logging camp and farm, followed by the storage resources (wells stone, iron foundry, sawmill and attic). Be sure to maximize the number of workers and assign them equal in the production of different resources and construction and renovation of buildings. When resources are stable and warehouse, so you can start building other facilities and to raise an army.

I started to give priority to improving the cottage to hire more workers. Then the process of improving resource providers and workers to boost production. After that, I have focused on improving the tanks to increase the maximum control of resources. Be sure to use the artisan Covenant and accelerate construction so you can build and improve facilities to save time.

If you're a new player, you can count on a prize by chance on a gift package for a limited time, although it is doubtful that you will always get the resources. Another option to get more resources (such as black iron, leather, thin wood and iron) and gold is the first to do the quests Alliance (if you are a member) and the second scan send general. There will be a time that usually does not carry any loot from exploration. But if higher public investment, the greater the chance that you have that rare Loots and resources, and sometimes to gain experience and level up. If you're still building your empire, I do not stop do not go raid or attack an NPC or other players, because it is very expensive to send troops into battle, the more you need more of them later in life.

Participate in the game, on Facebook and the platform event may also contribute to an increase not only resources, including gold and jewelry as well.

The same applies if you intend to steal or attack the tribal villages and fields of Bandit, but you must allow a certain number of troops with you. For the bandit camp, you will receive an additional Loots called Bandit Users that can be used during the age of the Castle.

In the feudal era, the market would trade will be very useful if you need more resources. You are free to do all the resources and troops on the market, but be sure to get them as quickly as possible before the stocks last. In addition, resources will depend on the availability of other players.

SWTOR - The Jedi Sentinel and Jedi Guardian

BioWare's latest MMORPG, Star Wars the Old Republic (SWTOR) is developed all around the Star Wars theme. As such, the classes, species and characters within the game are all taken from the big screen movie. The Jedi are thus a must-have to include in SWTOR. Gamers will be able to play as a Jedi Knight and advance as either a Jedi Sentinel or Jedi Guardian when the game is released this December 20, 2011.

As can be easily guessed by Star Wars fans, the Jedi Knight class aligns itself with the Galactic Republic and makes use of the lightsabers as their main weapon on the battlefield. Besides the use of lightsabers, the Jedi Knights are also capable of using force skills for various purposes. This class is known to frequently lead armies into battle against the Sith Empire. For the Jedi Knights, action is the name of the game. The three known species available to the class include Human, Miraluka and Zabrak.

The two specializations for the class, otherwise known as advanced classes are the Jedi Sentinel and Jedi Guardian. The availability of advanced classes in the game enables gamers to further customize their characters in terms of skills, builds and capabilities. The SWTOR Jedi Guardian specialization lets the Jedi enhance protective and tanking abilities. The Sith Empire counterpart, is the Sith Juggernaut. As a tank, the Jedi Guardian also taunts enemies to distract them from the less protected Republic classes and inspires allies when in group fights. This makes the advanced class a much desired member in group fights as well as full fledge battles. As a Jedi Knight, the Guardian is regarded as a damage dealer (DPS) regardless. In other words, a damage-dealer with enhanced tanking and protective abilities.

The three skill trees available to the class are Vigilance, Defense and Focus. Focus, which is also available to the Jedi Sentinel, lets the class further specialize with advanced Force techniques such as taking on the Shii-Cho lightsaber form. The Defense skill tree is suitable for gamers who looks forward to protecting allies while Vigilance, lets the guardian emphasize on single-blade offense.

The SWTOR Jedi Sentinel on the other hand, can be viewed as a pure and truly enhanced damage dealing class. With that in mind, it is not unusual to come across Jedi Sentinels wielding dual blades. With this advanced class, it is all about focus and control. For example, Sentinels are very adept at creating webs of damage using two lighsabers at the same time. As soon as they see a loophole in the enemy's defense, the Sentinel is usually fast to take advantage of it.

The specialization offers three skill trees. Focus, which is a shared one, Watchman and Combat. The Watchman skill tree allows the Jedi Sentinel to effectively take on the Juyo Lightsaber form while Combat lets the Sentinel take on the Ataru Lightsaber. Juyo Lightsaber form makes the Jedi more dangerous in fights while Ataru Lightsaber focuses on dispersing enemies with attacks.
Whichever of the advanced class gamers choose to play, they are both sure to provide a memorable experience in the vast Star Wars galaxy.

Tips to Find The Best Combat Flight Simulator Game Online

When you think of combat flight simulators, what comes to mind? Do you envision cartoon graphics, a make believe scenery, and a cockpit? Or would you rather sit in a real, unique cockpit, flying in a real location, all created with modern, state of the art gaming graphics? If you are like me, you would definitely choose the second. The problem with so many online airplane games out there today, is that they are being made using old graphics, poor quality response engines, and use one or two generic cockpit styles for all their planes. Why are these games even made? Some companies like to save money and know that there are people out there who don't know any better who will buy these games.

So, How Do You find the Best Airplane Sim Game Online?

First of all, you have to know what to look for. Next, you need to either search the internet to find the best flight sim game, or, a much easier solution, log onto a site or blog created by someone who knows more about these type of games than most people and has already done the research required to find the best flight simulator game online.

Here are the main things to look for:

The first way to tell if a flight simulation game is worth your time is by looking at the planes. Flight Simulator X Planes should not look alike, there may be some similarities, but the differences should be more than in just color. There should be a large variety of different planes, helicopters, and jets to choose from, at least 20 or 30. When you look inside the cockpit, you should see some detailed aspects relevant to the plane you are flying. If you don't know what is real and what is generic, don't worry, the important thing is that the gauges seem real and that the planes are not all alike.

Another thing to look for in a good flight simulator online game is the realism and variety of the locations in which you are flying. Nothing is more boring than flying in a make believe 'fairy land' that claims to be a real place. Many flight simulator x mods are available today that not only have realistic places, but offer superior graphics that will make you believe that you are really there.

The last thing to look for in a great simulator game is the support of forced feedback controls. These are the official controls of the dedicated Combat Flight Simulator gamer. You are not truly experiencing the full effect of the flight without the awesome effects of the forced feedback controls. If the game you are playing does not even support these controls, then why waste your time?

Next time you look at a Flight Simulator X game, read a little about what the games has to offer so that you don't waste your money on a game that you will only get bored with a month from now. The Best Combat Flight Simulator you will find should make you believe that you are really inside the cockpit, flying through far off lands while barely avoiding bullets whizzing by your planes side.

How to Raid in WoW Cataclysm

New players are always confronted with the same challenge: they don't know how to raid in WoW Cataclysm since their skills are not enough to become good raiders yet. In fact even the simplest raids may look extremely hard, especially for classes such as the Paladin, Druid, and Shaman who may be asked to shift specs and totally alter their playing style. However, if you are patient and flexible, you will manage to earn a permanent spot in the raid. Keep in mind that certain hybrid classes such as the DK or Druid are considered to be more effective as far as resistance is concerned, while Shamans might be suitable for support in one fight and work as off healers in another fight.

Other classes like the Rogue, Hunter, Warlock and Mage don't require to change your playing style too much. The downsize here is that you will have to change specs to unlock certain abilities that you will need in specific situations. This demands more effective spell rotations and concentration on improving the DPS.

As soon as the fight begins during a raid, you'll almost always have a set position to work on. You're not going to be tanking for one trash mob, then DPS for the next and then Healing on a boss. But, between bosses or instances as a whole, you will find that the needs of your raid party change and that is when you may need to switch. Here are some tips you will definitely find helpful, especially if you are just starting with WoW Cataclysm:

1. Try to join a like-minded group of players that will share the same goals. This will help both you and the group to reach them more easily and quickly.

2. Patience is a virtue they say. Don't expect any fast results. And this is especially true if you're a new player. Try and try again until you finally reach your goal. And eventually, you will.

3. Make a little internet research before starting out a new instance. Try to find tips and tricks. This will only take a couple of minutes and it could save you from a lot of trouble.

4. Seek the help of experts. Use guides and addons that will boost your raiding capabilities. There are both free and paid options. But to be honest, paid guides and addons can actually give you a good head start compared to your opponents who will probably use any free tool available on the internet.

If you are just starting, remember to keep these tips at the back of your mind throughout your whole gaming experience. You will find out that learning how to raid in WoW Cataclysm is fun, as a game should be.
